Mark Boyle – The Moneyless Man.
Let me introduce you to Irish economics graduate Mark Boyle. Simply by reading a book from Gandhi Mark was left completely disillusioned with the current ‘monetary economic’ system. He then decided to live his life without spending or even touching money for 1 single year. Mark went completely ‘back to basics’ and followed his own strict rules for basic survival. Now 4 years along the way and still living moneyless he founded the ‘freeconomic’ movement and basically discovered that good friends are all the riches you need. His movement simply stands for the act of sharing and giving: “Give something back to your fellow earthlings (doc.) by not asking something in return”. In the current landscape of ‘how much can I get’ this is absolutely true of course. Go resource-based economy! His website justforthelove.org receives 30,000 hits a day and has more then 10,000 members. I recommend his book “The Moneyless Man: A Year of Freeconomic Living” and his TEDxO’Porto 2011 testament.
